
Veterinary Nurse - Part Time or Full Time
Chatswood Vet Clinic is an independently owned and family run small animal practice which has been operating for over 30 years on Sydney’s north shore, close to Chatswood CBD.
Our veterinary practice provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, including radiology, ultrasound, surgery and an in-house laboratory. We have long standing and loyal clients who value the high quality of veterinary care that we provide to our patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated veterinary nurse to join our friendly, growing and supportive team. We work by our values (to be humble, to have the courage to embrace new ideas, to nurture the team), and would expect you to do the same.
Our clinic is open:
- Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
- Saturday: 8am – 1pm
- Sunday: closed
We are located in an affluent leafy suburb in a stand-alone building, with excellent parking!
Your Role:
The role will involve:
- General nursing duties such as patient restraint, intravenous catheter placement and blood sampling.
- Surgical nursing, including monitoring of patients under general anaesthesia as well as pre-op and post-op care.
- Medical nursing of inpatients such as IVFT, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and general husbandry.
- Running pathology samples on our in-house IDEXX laboratory machines.
- Performing dental radiographs and dental scale and polishes.
- Reception duties including taking phone calls, answering enquiries, creating appointments, etc.
We provide a supportive environment and ongoing training as necessary. The wellbeing of all our staff is extremely important to the overall management of the team.
Your Qualifications:
- Veterinary Nurse Cert IV or equivalent (desirable)
- Minimum 12 months experience as a nurse in a veterinary practice
- Experience in RxWorks Veterinary software (desirable)
Remuneration:
Remuneration is well above award wage and will be commensurate with experience. We also offer employee discounts for pet visits and treatments.

Groomers
Groomers – Part Time or Full Time
Chatswood Vet Clinic is an independent, vet owned local business that has been at the heart of our community’s pet’s health since 1988. We opened our Pet Grooming services over a year ago and due to strong demand and a growing client base we are now looking to expand our team with a number of new experienced pet groomers. We have both part time and full time roles available.

Your Role and Experience Required:
Specifically we are looking for:
- Experienced dog groomers with at least 3 years experience.
- We expect you to be able to groom various breeds with their specific clips with precision and care. You are also able to perform a hand scissored clip if required.
- Consistently superior dog handling skills and a passion about creating a positive and stress-free grooming experience for every dog.
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills and are able to listen to our clients’ needs and expectations. Ability to connect with clients and be highly personable.
- Comfortable working independently and experienced in dealing with each client’s admission and discharge.
- You thrive in both an autonomous and independent environment but also enjoy working with others in a team environment .
- You always ensure a safe, clean and quality work environment is maintained.
